Walela Nehanda is a Black non binary, queer, nationally renowned poet, community organizer, and co-founder of Spit Justice - a Los Angles based non-profit promoting artistic expression and social justice via grassroots community organizing.

They received a $5,000 grant to support their continued work in using purpose-led storytelling to help heal their community.
